Cancellation and Refund Policy

This policy covers membership dues, event tickets and sponsorships purchased from the Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce ("LALCC").

At a glance

  • Membership dues: full refund within 14 days of joining, if no member benefits were used. No refund after 14 days; membership runs to the end of its term.

  • Event tickets: full refund, less processing fees, up to 14 days before the event. No refund after that, but the ticket can be transferred.

  • Sponsorships and golf foursomes: refund, less the value of benefits already delivered, up to 30 days before the event. No refund after that.

  • Events LALCC cancels: full refund or credit, your choice.

Effective date: October 1, 2026

Membership

Membership dues are refundable in full within 14 days of joining, as long as no member benefits have been used. Benefits include event tickets, e-blasts, certification assistance, grant or program applications and LISTO portal access.

After 14 days, dues are non-refundable and are not prorated. You may cancel at any time, and your membership and benefits continue until the end of the one-year term you paid for.

  • Renewals. If your membership renews automatically, cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. A renewal charge is refundable within 14 days on the same terms as a new membership.

  • Upgrades. You can move to a higher level at any time by paying the difference. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal.

  • Transfers. A membership belongs to the business. If a named individual leaves, the business can assign that seat to someone else.

  • Included event tickets. Tickets that come with a membership level have no cash value and are not refunded if unused.

  • Termination by LALCC. We may end a membership for conduct that harms the Chamber or its members. Dues are not refunded in that case.

Event tickets

Tickets are refundable in full, less payment processing fees, when you cancel at least 14 days before the event. Inside 14 days we have committed to venues and caterers on your behalf, so tickets are non-refundable.

  • Transfers. You can give your ticket to another person at any time. Send us the new guest's name before the event.

  • No-shows. Tickets are not refunded or credited if you do not attend.

  • Free events. If you registered for a free event and cannot come, please let us know so we can offer your place to someone else.

If LALCC cancels or changes an event

If we cancel an event, you choose between a full refund and a credit toward a future LALCC event. We will email every registered guest and sponsor as soon as the decision is made.

If we postpone an event or move it to a new venue, your ticket or sponsorship stays valid for the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, ask for a refund within 14 days of our notice.

Outdoor events, including the golf tournament, go ahead in light rain. If the venue closes for weather or safety, we will reschedule where we can and the terms above apply. LALCC is not responsible for travel, lodging or other costs you incur.

How to cancel and how refunds are paid

Cancellations must be made in writing, and the date we receive your request is the date that counts.

  1. Email membership@lalcc.org for memberships, or info@lalcc.org for events and sponsorships.

  2. Include your name, business name, what you are cancelling and the email used for the purchase.

  3. We confirm by email, usually within 2 business days.

Refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days of our confirmation. Payments made by check are refunded by check.
